Our Weekend

very quiet adn relaxing actually... saturday some strange critter bit me...named the cleaning bug... i cleaned the house.... adn i pull teh car otu of garage adn cleaned te garage then hosed it out adn it is much cleaner now.. i hate all the stuff that blows into my garage.... drives me nuts... my house looked great.. then i enjoyed soem time out in the alley way wiht myfriends jsut chatting... kids played except keara who is battlinga yucky cold.. she is much better today thank heavens... Sunday i had planned to go to church but didnt make it out of mybed in time cuase lily had soem sever growing pains that cuased her to get up in tehmiddle of the night crying so mommy got up got her some motrin and rubbed them til she fell back alseep in my bed all warm and snuggly... makes me sad whenthey hurt liek that...i used to have thsoe pains as a child.. they suck... so we jsut hng aroudn sunday.. i let jaum sleep in LATE he deserves it once and a while... smiles... i tossed a roast in the crock pot so i didnt have to worry bout dinner... adn we took a late afternoon trip to the beach.... let the kids swim and i soaked up some much needed sun.... while relaxing to the sound of the waves and squeelin kids! then dinner and we played soem family WII it was great fun and although not too eventful was very enjoyable! yeah for peacefulw eekends... now i am starting the monday cleaning blitz adn then some sewing... gotta get busy on those christmas presents..... as the time escapes me too fast!

floating in teh ocean

i guess being in the ocean has its down side... beauty surrounds you.... gorgeous views and vistas everwhere..b tu when you want to comminicate via us mail.HAHAHAHAHAHAHA seems liek there is a menahunie (hawaiian leprechan.) that sits int eh post office and says yeah this doesn tneed to be delivered for a month or so..... or hey i am gonna eat this one all together.... cause sometimes it takes 2 days to get to mainland other times they dont show up at all... so far te missing persons list includes several wedding invites a letter, soem bills and a coupel birthday cards..... and i am still wiating almsot a month now on a package withs oemthing for thekids from Ga... umm yeah makes me nuts...adn if we order something onlien adn what it shipped here... hahah talk about high way robbery... they charge you usually more than the item costs to ship it... unless it can come from amazon then it is ok with their super saver shipping... or enough ranting...

Hawaii most beautiful place on earth

umm yeah unless you wantto get something off line and have it shipped cuase evidently we are in the middle of an ocean and have the plague according to most people on mainland... to get somethign at a reasonable price i have to order off lineand yeah then they wont ship here or ifthey do the shipping is more than the item i want... it is rediculous and makes me nuts.Last night i was about to scream adn send evil hate mail to all the places that refuse to ship outside of the 48 states... its not like i am in a 3rd world country i am in teh FRICKEN US! takes deep breath..... adn to think that myhubby wants to retire here.... its worse than booneyville usa.... ok i am done venting

I MADE BREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i feel like martha stewart... ok yeah i know.... it doesn ttake a brain surgeon to make bread but it was somethign that ihave never done wiht out a bread machine and i have been learn how to use yeast adn figured hey i cna do this... whynottry and save moola make some bread! Yahoo it was soooooooo yummmy! i wanted to eat the whole loaf.. but one small piece was moe than enough for me! and it brought back memories for jaum too fo coming home from schoolto tha smell.. so hey that helps too...even jake says wow mom this bread is the beat i LOVE IT! heheheh so now gonna try different kinds of bread... hehehehhehe ihave created a demon...

Rising cost of getting by

We have always made it through.... never really ahd to worry too much about moola... but with gas prices rising ona daily basis adn the gas tank taking more nad moer of our pay check and makingthe cost of everything go up i find myself getting more nad more worried about making ends meet... so this summer i am making an effort to walk more, drive less.. i am gonna spend more time making things from scratch instead of boxed or take out.. although i do cook alot... i use some semi prepared foods.. well they are jstu getting too exspensive..t oday i am making cinnamon rolls cuase i wanted some but i canmake twice as much at half the cost.... that is if i dont kill the yeast... it is a new thing for me... i have never used yeast except to toss in my bread machine... lol...Living in hawaii is a blessing it is the most beautiful place tha ti have seen in the world... and ihave seen a few places...BUT it is VERY VERY exspensive....... adn that concerns me... kids want to go and do things liek water parks and such but with mola tight we have to be very careful.... iwish there was a way to make the oil companies see how mean and greedy they are.. ohhh oil prices are so high... ohhhh wha waa waa.. but we have RECORD profits this month... but we arent gouging prices... ahem any how stepping off my soap box to go check on the dough!

my baby boy

i ahve been having these a lot lately with jake and keara... msotly jacob though... he asked to get his hair cut a coupel weeks ago of course AFTER the wedding but whatever.... but since he got it cut he is looking so grown up nto to mention more like his daddy....he has thinned out by like15lbs and grown about 3 inches since we got here... He is so handsome... I dropped him off at school today adn they are having their 5th grade end of year dance..so they didnt have to wear their uniforms he has jeans on wiht a tshirt adn a plaid button up shirt.. he looked so handsome... and when i dropped him off... as he was walkign in 2 little girls got out of a car... look at jake and whispered at each other and giggled... (yes THAT giggle) sighs... i am not ready for this... i knwo that he is handsome... i woudl ahve dated him... lol but he is my baby... iw ant the little guy that wore thsoe cute overalls... and loved to cuddle up on couch with his momma and his ktity cat blankie... and who thought the sun and moon rose with his momma.. i knwo that it is my job to raise mychildren to be responisble, lovign caring, productive adults...but no one warned me that it woudl hurt to watch them grow up and away from me... just wanna hug him to me and never let him go...b ut i knwo that isnt realistic... dern hormones....i guess the saying that children are little pieces of your heart wandering around outside your body is true! growin pains...

So What did you do today?

This is one of my favorite (or most hated)questions... you ask the kids that whenthey get in the car after school and you get a whole mirad of answers from "i don't know" or "stuff" to a whole lsit of things that happened along with who hit who or stole what or pinched who..always makes me giggle to listen to their answers... then there is the hated part of it.. when someone walks in and looks aroudn and says what did you do today? now my hubby the wise man he is hasnt said that to me with out completely joking.... cause he knows that a painful death would follow... but i have heard other say it to people and it makes the little hairs on theback of my neck stand up and the claws come out.... so i thought one day (when i was feeling liek i havent dont anything and i am a lazy cuss) to make a list of everythign that i did on a normal monday... so as i went about my duties i had a little clipboard in hand...my list amazed me...
got up showered, got dressed
grabbed laudnry basket out of my room adn headed down hallway, waking each kid on the way down teh hallway..pickign up whatever was on teh floor on the way headed down stairs started a load of laundry, then i went to make the kids lunches... calling upstairs to wake the kids again adn remind hubby to get up! then finish thelunches.. make sure all the back packs are loaded adn ready to go ... get kids downstairs, breakfast in them hairs brushed... kids all ready tell man i love him adn pack them all in car... take them adn neighbors kid to school! drop them off head back to house...switch laundry as i come in door.. grab frozen meat for dinner out of the freezer drop it in the sink. check the dish washer unload clean dishes, load soem dirty ones in there... head to the down stairs bathroom , wipe counters, sqwish potty clean mirror.., head to craft room pick up all stuff ont eh floor including all the snack wrappers those rotten kids of mien left there... head into living room, straighten up, fold blankets.. make sure floor is clean.. vacumm craft adn living room.... head back to kitchen... clean off counters wash them down scrub stove... clear off table, pledge it... get broom sweep entire down stairs...g et otu floor cleaner... clean all the floors down stairs... switch laundry, fold dry load...head upstairs.. check cat box...c lean it out.... head ot kids bathroom.. pick up all dirty clothes, rehang towels...wipe counters with lysol..clean toilet, scrub out tub...wipe mirrors... then to kearas room... change sheets, remake bed.. pick up her toys...put away clothes she hadnt finished putting away.... , head to jakes room ... what a mess... skip for moment head to lilys room , pick up toys, puther clothes away..change sheets.... put her bookcase back together as she had books everywhere..... head to my room ... clean my bathroom.. wipe counters, mirrors, get clean towels... cahgne my sheets now that my hubby is out of it... make bed.. put any clothes away that we havent yet... wipe mirror dust dresser... head back to jakes room with trash bag... change sheets, pick up all his skattered clothes.. decide which are clean adn which are dirty put clean away... clear his floor.... get vaccumm.. vacumm upstaris all kids rooms and my room and the room with cat box... then ehad downstairs for a break to check email.. adn its only9:30am.... finish email the went to work on the laundry in earnest... finsihed that up adn it stime to get hte kids... ge thtem start dinner... get them all fed adn showered and tucked in bed adn then i clean up after dinner... reload that dishwashe adn start it... the plop on couch .. adn wonder why i am so tired...
THAT IS WHAT I DID IN ONE DAY!!!
