Slight rant if anyone things the Department of Vetrans Affiars is the greatest you might not want to read any further!
Ok so where to start... i see thsi from 2 sides adn neither are pleasant.. fromt eh side of a military member CURRENTLY servicign the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.. And a retired Member who now after laying his life on teh line needs assistance from teh country whom he WILLINGLY vowed to defend...
The servies seems to want all that you ahve and are for nothign in return. They pay our men mere pennies on teh dollar to leave home and family to go to foriegn lands to be shot at, blown up, spit upon and called pigs, or to spend montsh under water with out seeing the sun or smelling fresh air.. The same jobs done by civilans are for twice the amount, with regular work breaks, adn great vacationadn retirement packages plus most are union... oh sorry our service men loose their vacation time If they happen to not be allowed by their commands to take those much needed vacations! and once they are finished with their time in teh military they are discarded like trash no longer needed or wanted.. when later in life the effects of what they have been through shoes up they need the help of that SAME government that asked them to GIVE THEIR ALL, welll then the tune changes... they have to fill out paper work after papare work and wait months on end to jsut find out they didnt fill it out right or that it isnt enough for the VA office. Some of our Vietnam vets are require to have incedent report numbers names and contact information from teh peopel that were around them when they were getting blown up and shot at... hell these men were worried about not loosing their lives not about getting the name and ranks fo the men who were dying aroudn them ... now they are treated liek liars and theives jstu trying to get enough money to live, since their lives have now been forever changed by war. My father who was directrly under several hundred agent orange drops has suffered from Horrible high blood pressure depressionand now a ceribrial brain hemorage cause by that high blood pressure which teh Va says he doesn thave... he was a once vibrant man who always provide for his family even though he suffered inside fromteh horrors that he had to face.. now he is a mere shell of himself, his emotions effected by the stroke, his eye sight lsot on one eye... he is unable to walk with out assitance of another person or crutches.. both his kness need to eb replaced.. he can no longer ever provide for his wife and himself adn what does the va tell him... you arent disabled adn there is not enough documentation that thsi is caused by thsi so called high blood pressure adn that there isnt enough proof that his knee (which was broken in boot camp we hav epicutres to prove it) was c uased there. not to mention the Post tramatic stress disorder that RE-surfaced after teh brain hemorage... i mean what kind of gervernment does this to the men who fight to keep it free .... what ever happen to taking care of ones own? Dotn get me wrong I LOVE THSI COUNTRY and woudl never wanna live anywehre else but i really think that it is time that the whole country knew the plight of our vetrans adn our current fighting men! Then maybe they wouldnt be treated liek dirty socks... It makes me sad to knwo that these brave men are living on the streets adn strugglign to make the Choice power of food this month. What else can be done where do i turn to get help for my father and those many others who are fighting this never ending battle with teh VA?

Happy Birthday to ME!
Well i got my birthday present a little early thanks to my beloved hubby! Met Trixie Belle she is a Solamon Island Eclectus Parrot... She is about 4-5 months old... I have wanted one of these birds for YEARS (13)! Since the first time i walked into a pets store here in hawaii adn saw a beautiful girl sitting on a perch greeting customers... She is a hoot! These birds are a lot different than normal parrots.. First i have to cook for her... seh eats almsot what we do! She loves oatmeal... and tey are a lot quieter... mind you seh can shreik... but not usually... I have fallen in love once again! she loves to snuggle with me too.... and gives kisses... I just hope that i can be a good parrot mommy... adn that she stays this good as seh gets older... seh will live for 30-60 years... so i have a 2 year old for for 30 years... woo hooo.... great present for my 35th birthday... wow i am old!
