Old age is stalkin me!

so yeah as i approach yet another birthday i think that old age is sneakin up on me... not that mymind feels old or that i consider myself old but things are starting to happen to me.... every joint in my body aches... i have good days where i dance aroudn teh house doign everything very easily adn then there are the days when i open my eyes and think how am i gonna get this old tired body out of bed... muscles rebel against every action... back screams.. there are days i feel every joint my body has... i didnt even knwo i had joints in some of these places... adn tey ache so bad i pray for relief... i cant imagine what it iwll eb liek in 20 years....gonna get doc to check me out to make sure its not something besides my "golden years" sneakin up on me! HA

Baby Boy is 11.....

So i always end up in reflextion when my kids have a birthday... mayeb its wondering how i survived the last year of their life? or maybe it is WOW another uear has flown by... but i think about all the changing that they ahve done... and get caught in how i used to love doign certain things with them... being back in hawaii where jake was born makes me think abou tall the things i did wiht him here when he was a little guy... chasing him aroudn the back yard... puttinghim in the little baby poolin my back lani adn listening to him squeel with delite... now i look at him adn he is almsot as tall as me... and he has changed soo dramatically in the last 7 months.... he has lost that little kid look and he is now a PRETEEN... awwww run for your lives... the hormone monster is starting to rear its head... but i am proud he is a great kid... he makes good choices... most of the time.... He stands for whathe knows is right adn walks away from things that arent right... he loves our Heavenly Father....I see his conpassion (as long as it isnt his sisters... lol ) he wants to help and he cares about others... i have hope for his future.... He is a handsome loving young man... and i sure hope he stays on the path he is on! ok enough of the reflection.... until november when its kearas turn!

Highway robbery..AKA ....school supply list

remebber back in teh good old days when the dinosaurs roamed the earth we got our back packs new lunch boxes a couple out fits and were sent back to school.. yeah now adays you ahve to take out a mortgage to be able to afford school supplies and heaven forbid you ahve more than one kid...
i understand the need for pencils and paper a binder and basic supplies but we are being asked to provide paper towles, hand soap, santizing gel, sharpie markers, postit notes, and dry erase markers for our kids teachers... ummm so what is it that the taxes pay for ? we have to provide all the paper and anythign else that comes along like their project boards and such which is all good but all the teachers supplies too... i knwo they dont get paid well but 10 rolls fo paper towels... i mean next they gonna ask for toilet paper? i think somethings come wiht the cost of operations... stop paying the admin staff so much and buy the paper towels for hells sakes... and you dont get to choose which suplies you buy if you dont have teh right color folder, and erasers adn all the long laundry list they give you including NO ROSEART..crayola ONLY list then your poor kid gets hounded until you provide... i mean what is this the mafia or school???? grumbles as i sulk off to label my 72 #2 pencils with kids names.....

i am gonna step up on my soap box now..... you ready... ok.....
now i was happy witht he new privacy laws that they put into effect thinkng wow they are finally looking otu for us.... UNTIL all the navy clinics adn other ones that i had visited told me that i could no longer bringmy children with me to my appointments...well for me not so much of a problem as my children are older...but for some of my firends who have young children who finding a sitter for is a long task that is sometimes impossible..thsi becomes a HUGE issue... mothers as a rule dont usually take care of their health needs as everyone elses are more important.... so whenthey finally feel the need to see the doctor now they ahve these hurdles to climb adn wiht lots of them single as their hubbys are off DEFENDING our country.... this is jsut another reason for them no tto recieve the medical care they need i mean yeah my 2 or 3 year odl is gonna hear what is up with mom... sio what.... liek they dont already know and its not liek theyw ill et on the internet adn tell every one.... screams... why do they have to make life so DIFFICULT while trying to "Protect" us? not sure i am ready to step off soap box but will let this one rest for a bit....

The Popcorn fiasco!

So last night kids were watching a movie and ran out of microwave popcorn and jaum decided to make some the hard way on the stove... sohe got out a small fry pan and tossed in the oil heated itnad put the corn in there... adnwhen it started to pop yeah ummm it went everywhere...the kdis were screaming adn laughin.. but it sure tasted yummy.... and we all enjoyed a good giggle!

Summer time Joys

half way through the summer and we have survived so far... although the fighting has started to pick up... jake is in skate camp thsi week which helps get him out of his sisters hair for a while! only a couple more weeks then its his birthday and a week later they start school again! woohoo for me.... its getting hotter liek 92 in the shade right now... today i decided that i would checkin on the kids rooms ... ihave been trying to let them do their chores alone and give them a little responisbility to take care of the things they are supposed too... well the expirement failed miserably.... yeahhh took me all morning to clean their rooms... clothes, trash, dirty clothes, toys, books EVERYWHERE.... ummm yeah... not liek they havent been taught a million times that stuff goes in its spot... sighs.... adn that when we are done with stuff we put it back.... but i guess it doesnt apply to the black hole that is their rooms... other universal rules apply once you pass the threshold.... chores are always a battle... adn the kids have now started to be nosey about other peoples chores.. mom she hasnt done her chore or KEARA that doesnt go there... ohh the joys....
